Once there lived a washerman who had an Donkey. The washerman used the Donkey to carry the cloths to and fro his clients place.
One day, the washerman visited his client who happend to be a hunter. When the washerman went inside the hunters house to dilever the cloths, the Donkey found a Lion’s skin which the hunters had left out in the sun to dry.
The Donkey took the skin and put it on. With the Lion’s skin he went on a talk arround the village. All fled at his approach, both men and animals, and he was a proud Donkey that day.
In his delight he lifted up his voice and brayed. When people and other animals hurd him then every one knew that he was not a Lion but an Donkey. The washerman came up and gave him a sound cudgelling for the fright he had caused.
Lesson: Fine clothes may disguise, but silly words will disclose a fool.
