There once lived a tall fir tree in the lush green forests of Himalayas. Besides him grew a twisted and thorny bramble. The was proud of himself.He was much admired by the bramble and others in the forest.
One day Fir said to the thorny bush, “Bush, if you had one wish to be granted in this world, wouldn’t you rather be a tall, straight fir tree like me?”
“No,” said the twisted bush, “Just like you, I’m happy of what I am. Besides, I wouldn’t take the risk to be like you. When the woodcutter comes he would first cut tall, straight fir! So, wouldn’t you rather be a bramble?”
