A Fox fell into a well and could not find means to come out. A thirsty Goat, came to the same well. It took no time for the Fox to convinced the Goat that he must jump in to the well. The Goat, mindful only of his thirst, jumped in.
Just as the Goat drank, the Fox leaped upon the Goat and reached the mouth of the well and made out as fast as he could. When the Goat asked to help him out of the well, he turned around and cried out, “You foolish old fellow! you should never go down before you have inspected the way up. Now I can not help you”
Lesson: Look before you leap.
